This was my grandmother Ruth's favorite local pizza place. As a longtime resident of Flushing, she was one of their oldest customers, ordering from there since they first opened until she passed away at 98 years old. I have to mention that they always went out of their way to make my grandma feel welcomed. They would seat her at a table even though it was a counter service establishment. Whenever we visited Grandma, we would jokingly order the grandma pie, but truthfully, it is one of the best grandma pies I have ever tasted. The 10-inch Cheese Pizza with Fresh Garlic, Extra Cheese, and Meatballs was not as good as it was last week or over the weekend. It tasted and looked different. This was my first time having it at home and it was all gone within a few minutes. The Onion Rings were cold, clumped together, and had no taste. Despite this, I will still order from this restaurant when I want pizza.
Before even getting to the food, the service is superb. The men at the front desk are very welcoming and friendly. And the food, is just amazing! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good cheesy Italian slice. Parking: Parking lot in the back. Usually you can get a spot. And more limited parking in the front.
I went to this restaurant and ordered a pizza and a salad. The owner asked me to wait, and I ended up waiting for almost an hour because he forgot to submit my order. I really like this restaurant. I usually get take-out or delivery more often, but in the summer I sometimes dine in with my kid after going to the park. My husband and I both enjoy our meals there. The food is always excellent and the staff is very kid-friendly.
I must have ordered close to closing time because the quality of the pizza was neglected. My crust was hard and burnt, which was disappointing because I always order from this restaurant when I come to Queens for work and it is usually so good.
I enjoy visiting this restaurant. I always order a drink and a muffin, as I find it to be more affordable and of better quality than going to Starbucks. The lady who works there is very nice and laid-back!
