My boyfriend and I took my mom here for her birthday, and it was her first time. She's from Nicaragua, while I'm from Miami and grew up enjoying Nicaraguan food. Since moving, it's been hard to find a quality fritanga nicaragüense. The drive was quite a distance, but we would make it again in a heartbeat. I even got a bit teary-eyed! This place truly captures the essence of Nicaragua! The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. The owner was incredibly welcoming, and the Nica mariachi band was actually fantastic—they even sang "Las Mañanitas"! I'm so grateful that this restaurant exists!
I visited for the first time and I can't wait to return! The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the broiled beef plate, which came with rice and beans, a small salad, plantain chips, and fried plantains. It was incredibly tasty, and the beef had the most amazing flavor. The owner, Edwardo, was very kind and attentive, and his wife Velma is the chef. It truly felt like home cooking! They use olive oil, making it easy to create a paleo or AIP meal.
Great service! Awesome gallo pinto! So hard to find. Beef was yummy. Plantains were too soft. Maracuya agua fresca was a real treat! $18 a plate is a little much but overall I like this place! I’ll be back
