fritto misto is a popular neighbourhood restaurant that offers the Italian cuisine of cali. despite opening its doors 25 or so years ago, it remains a popular destination on pier ave in hermosa beach. the interieur resembles a casual Italian caffe with furniture from used weinkists, hanging pendulum lights and beautiful hand-painted pasta bowls hanging on the walls. they have a small curated selection of bottled wines, and I was pleased that I could enjoy a docg Italian chianti and traveled my youngest trip to Italy. while calamari is available in many restaurants, I thought that calamari here is much fresher and not chew like other places. it is served with tartaric acid and marinara sauces...

Trevor, the food and the location; imbue a five star energy and taste into this fine establishment. Lobster ravioli, Trevor’s way, sun with sirloin tips. Remember, the food and vibe are good for late night dates and romantic dinners with friends. I would even dine in solo because of the great service and staff.

Tried and true! Every time we visit this restaurant it never fails to deliver delicious food and service is always friendly and prompt. This time we went with a large group of friends and everyone enjoyed their meal. Glad it's so near home ;

Our meal was delicious. We had the caprese salad and the pillows in Bolognese sauce for dinner paired with red wine. For dessert, we had the creme brulee and the baby tiramisu with coffee.

Phenomenal and service! Definitely get the calamari if you like that. Very crispy on the outside and tender calamari. The garlic cream sauce is so delicious.
