Fruit of the Moon is a quaint looking little roadside spot across from Woodbury Resort in Ainsworth. We ate here a few times over the years and came down from Kaslo specifically for breakfast. These guys make an awesome breakfast burrito complete with fresh fruit on the side. also the coffee is excellent. they love what they do and are just good people. Smoothies are also perfect. I hear their ice cream is great as well, I don't doubt it a bit. They only have a couple of covered picnic tables and a few benches, but you could always share a table. If your planning to wait for the ferry stop and grab something you won't regret it. Just Go!!!
As you do on holidays, I was craving a real chocolate milkshake, but not wanting the extra milk and because I love almond milk (especially with chocolate ice cream!), asked my partner to order my shake with almond milk. This seemed to confuse and displease the owners/workers (?), and made my partner feel awkward. Regardless, the customer is always right - that was the best chocolate almond ice cream shake I've ever had! And I only had to take 2 lactaid LOL. Everyone very much enjoyed their ice cream cones, also. Great food stand right across from Woodbury Marina.
My husband and I visited the little restaurant for a quick breakfast , and were greeted by a lovely women who made me the PERFECT toasted bagel. It was soo fresh and was supplied with an ample amount of cream cheese and Fresh fruit! My husband had the breakfast sandwich which he thoroughly enjoyed! The coffee was hot and delicious. I also want to thank this lovely lady and the couple who came slightly after us as they rescued my purse which I mistakenly left there! Everything intact! Thank you!
The family had always wanted to stop at this restaurant for a quick bite, but I personally never liked it. I didn't care for the fatty taste of their famous ice cream. No complaints about the food though. Unfortunately, the restaurant has been shut down since 2016. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
we wanted to have a quick bite before heading to the Hotsprings and found this small place besides the road. You can only eat outside and the menu is basic, as is the eatery itself, but the owner(?) is very friendly and prepares everything fresh.
This restaurant has an elegant setting and is operated by a husband and wife team. The husband manages the tables while the wife creates delicious dishes. The high quality of the food makes it a great value.
Unfortunately, I am saddened to announce that the best breakfast burrito in British Columbia is no longer available. Fruit of the Moon has closed its doors for good. It is a shame.
