I used to live in the area and the restaurant was okay at the time. I stopped by while passing through and feeling hungry. I've never written a review for a fish and chip shop before, but I feel compelled to do so now. When I placed my order, there was a discussion between the two ladies working there about not having enough for a full portion. "You might have said that," one of them remarked. When they filled up my tray, one of them shook her head and looked to her colleague, who dismissed it. I was focused on my phone the whole time. It’s a good chippy, it has a nice little eat in section, cafe type, with free newspaper to read, portions are good, but, more than once, I’ve had to send a pie back, this, if you look in the warmer is a problem, If I am having take out, I have a good look and don’t choose the pies that look like they have been warmed up a dozen times! My problem is just the pies, the rest is superb, can’t fault it, the family work the counter, and just a word to them, I do NOT like being addressed by a young lad as PAL, call me old fashioned, but I prefer better communication, overall, it’s the best in the area, the opening for breakfast is going to be useful, and the chilli is awsome, but, couple of things...

Not been here for a few years, however tonight I purchased 2 meat and potato pies, large chips, small peas and a large gravy. When dishing this out at home I found the pies to have been microwaved to death and were soggy as hell, the peas were cold, the gravy congealed and the chips absolutely disgusting, they were mainly ends which were blackened, slightly warm and looked like they had been sat there for hours, definitely not at all fresh! I was so disappointed as I had looked forward to this. I messaged them directly straight away and can see they have read it but have not bothered to respond. Not at all happy, complete waste of money

Avoid eating at this fish and chip shop at all costs! The chips are consistently undercooked and inedible, resulting in a complete waste of money. The staff are unfriendly and the owner is extremely arrogant. Even after making a complaint about the raw food, I only received a partial refund. The prices are far too high for the poor quality of food you receive. This is by far the worst fish and chip shop in the north west. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

I telephoned this morning politely just to tell the manager that a product he sold me on the 21st of December may have been responsible for causing me to have diagnosed food poisoning. The young lady was non caring , just stating not possible not here , she was rude and non caring

The restaurant staff at this chippy are very friendly and welcoming. They offer a wide variety of delicious meals, and the fish is particularly amazing since it is cooked fresh upon ordering.

Always good quality, can sit in. Staff efficient and friendly.A very varied menu and also serves breakfasts.
