I ordered a collection on a weekday for me and my family, chicken tikka masala with a chicken balti. Keema naan, chicken tikka biryani, lamb bhuna and poppadoms. When I called the takeaway a young lady answered and sounded very blunt and made me feel uncomfortable. Upon collection there was no smile or greetings and still very blunt. I came home to see my food straight away leaking with grease coming out of the containers left right and centre which was dripping all over the table. I ordered pilau rice with my meal, but when it arrived, it was clumped together and inedible. When I called to complain, I was told that it was indeed pilau rice (it was not) and that I may not be satisfied because it came from the bottom of the pan. I requested a refund and for them to collect the meal, but the person on the phone argued with me. They refused to rectify the situation. Additionally, my receipt showed a total of £10.50, but I was charged £13.75. The poor service and lack of concern for their customers, including regular customers, is unacceptable. I will not be ordering from them again. It is clear that this company does not value their customers. Never again.
I am overjoyed that we found this place! my daughter had 3 helpings of their chicken tikka masala, and my son (who usually detests chickpeas and cheese) kept asking for more sag paneer!! This is a well-run business with very nice and polite staff, and a particularly kind, considerate, and generous owner: clearly he is not greedy for profit, but wants to feed his customers great food and make them happy. It’s not often that a takeaway can bring such joy and comfort... but this one did just that for my family this evening. Highly recommend.
The fact that this is no longer a restaurant does upset me as it was amazing. However I thought I know there food is amazing, I'll try the take away service. I'm quite shocked and surprised by how much this has changed. Food took 50 mins to cook, and I collected?! How does it not take that long when you're inside the restaurant.. Please go back to how you were, and provide gorgeous mouthwatering food! I'll be back, shortly to see if it was just a one off.

Ordered a takeaway from this place for the family. Chicken biryani was one of the best I’ve had. I had a beef Jalfrezi with a pilau rice. It was the best curry I ever had. They also do burgers and Doner kebab. The Doner kebab is not like your usual but done to taste really good. The delivery time was within 30 minutes. Overall this place had great customer service and deliver when they say. Exceptional place would recommend to anyone.
As always, not disappointed. Tend to order from here a couple of times a month but have never gone for the delivery option always collection always ready when they say. The menu is extensive if you ask for something that's not on the menu they will do their best to cater for you. Was struggling to find a decent takeaway locally think have found it now. :
I gotta say I don’t remember when exactly I visited this place. Probably way before they closed down in midland road. However, their food is spot on, they’re my own people (Bengali) so I felt more comfortable and welcomed. Truly astonishing dishes with excessive taste. I would highly recommend anyone to try FUNKY SPICE.
This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The menu has a good variety of options and is easy to read. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. The food is delicious and well-presented. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Probably the best takeaway experience I’ve ever had. The chef/owner was friendly and patiently addressed all of our requests. The chicken tikka was succulent and the other dishes well seasoned and of good proportions. Highly recommended.
We ordered at this restaurant for our family and we truly enjoyed it. All of the curries were piping hot and full of flavor. We would highly recommend it.
