I simply love the subs, salads, and the deserts here. I suggested this establishment to my family, co-workers and friends. My co-workers always loved our pay-day Friday lunches and we ordered a handful of treats to enjoy the day. The only issue I had with this establishment is the customer service. In the fall of last year, I wasn 't familiar with the selections and asked the worker for help. He was so nasty and rude to me. I gave them another chance because I loved their food so much. This time the man who answered the phone simply said, Gallo 's...your name and I gave him my sub order, but the man hung up in my face, and I wasn 't even finished ordering! That was the last time I will ever...
The subs are superb, but the customer service is non-existent at Gallo 's! I called to place my take-out order and the man who answered simply said, Gallos....your name, and hung up on me after I gave my customized sandwich. I wasn 't even completed with my order, but since he terminated the phone call and was so nasty and rude, I not only was finished with this order, but I am finished with doing business at this establishment forever. Very sad, because the food is wonderful here, I just cannot continue to patronize a business who obviously doesn 't care about their customers. I tried twice, but not a third time. Good-bye. . .
The BEST subs in the DC/MD/VA area. This place is a hidden gem in Capitol Heights/Forestville. Quality bread, quality meats. They are no more expensive than Subway but the quality surpasses Subway. My favorite is the Corned Beef on Medium bread. Their salads are good too.
My favorite sandwich shop for the past 10 years. Consistent flavor and quality, When you enter the store, that old Italian deli smell makes you hungry. Always a line, but always worth the drive.
