Today, I was shocked by the rude and abrupt service from the lady who served me at this restaurant. Every time I visit, the staff are consistently rude. I initially brushed it off thinking everyone has bad days, but after experiencing it multiple times, it is frustrating to be treated poorly when I am being polite. It is disheartening that despite numerous similar experiences shared in other reviews, nothing seems to be done to address this issue.
Bacon and Egg Toast at 8.15am.... Sounds easy? Wrong. The woman who served me got in a huff because unlike a Pie, you simply can't chuck a B&E toast in a paper bag. You've got to actually COOK an egg and TOAST some bread... You'd think I had asked for a 9 course tasting menu.... AND you cant pay on a card. Had to go find a cash machine. Poor attitude and antiquated payment method means I will avoid in future. AND to top it off the shop was a mess.
The staff at this restaurant were extremely rude when I asked for a pie. They simply replied with a curt "no." When I inquired further, the lady explained that they were out of pies. It would have been more polite to say they were sold out. I ended up ordering two meat and potato pasties instead, but when I got home, I found that they were burnt at the bottom and one had very little filling.
The restaurant staff are extremely impolite. Every time I visit, they ignore customers to chat with each other. The only polite staff member is Stephanie. I have visited twice in the last month and both times my order was incorrect when I got home. Very rude staff ask for a pie told just get a reply saying no,so asked what do you mean the lady said well we not got any,so when I asked why not just say sorry we have no pies left,so ordered meat potatoe pastys,got...home all burnt at bottom the other had about a tea spoon full of filling
The pies are always nice from here so it was no surprise when I ate the large minced steak pie that it was good. On this occasion I also bought a slice of chocolate fudge cake. A very generous slice it was too. A little sweet however even for me. Very nice though.
I enjoy galloways sandwiches, cakes, rolls and cakes. the personal is always very friendly and obligated. I especially like the Bavarian discs and some tarts, they are delicious and highly recommended
Rude staff!!! 3 people serving and had to ask if I could order. Then got an eye roll for trying to pay with a Scottish note (which is legal tender! What ever happened to customer service?!? Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Love their pies , nice friendly staff and make your choice of baguettes, rolls etc to your liking, can't fault it
