Gantetsu-ya is a vibrant and inviting restaurant in Brookline, famous for its hearty ramen dishes. The servings are ample, but I felt the ramen was slightly too oily, and the noodles were a bit softer than my taste. We also ordered the karaage, which had a nice crispiness but didn't deliver much in terms of flavor. Although we were told our table was ready, we waited an extra 15 minutes. Overall, I would rate the food a 3, the service a 2, and the atmosphere a 3. Lunch for two typically runs between $20 and $30.
Whenever I'm in Boston, I make it a point to stop by Gantetsu-ya for their incredible takoyaki! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20. The menu is excellent!
