Bartaco - Tisch resevieren

I ordered delivery from Bartaco for the first time. For reference, it’s about a 7 to 10-minute walk from my office, but I couldn't step out since I was on a call. The packaging was concerning; while I live nearby, I can’t help but ponder how well it would hold up during a longer trip. My bowl appeared to be compostable, but the lid didn’t seal well at all, making it risky to carry without spilling something on myself, especially since there was condensation on the bottom of the bowl. I tried the Spiced Chicken bowl and added pork belly and fried fish for an extra charge. To be honest, the food has never impressed me; it feels like a version of Mexican cuisine that has been overly refined. It lacks flavor and excitement. While I understand that Boston isn't exactly known for its Mexican food, this is just disappointing. The tacos are small and often taste bland, and when there is flavor, it can be off (like the chicken verde tasting reminiscent of Doritos). On a positive note, the guacamole and plantains are truly excellent. The service, however, is consistently outstanding, with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. I'm a big fan of this restaurant chain! I tried the Pork Belly and Duck Birria tacos, and both were fantastic. I've visited other locations before, but this was my first time here. I appreciated the easy parking available across the street, which is a nice change from the other Boston sites. This will definitely be my go-to location from now on.
