I love mediterranean food and have been searching for a good spot in St. Louis for a while. This was my first time trying this place. The service was good and all the staff were very helpful. It is in a good location and the atmosphere was nice.The actual food, though, was quite disappointing. I got a rice bowl with gyro meat and the meat was quite dry and in my opinion the slices of meat were way too big for the small bowl they put the rice and everything else in. I think something as simple as using a larger bowl to plate the meal would have made a difference. The hummus was good, but their signature white sauce was kind of flavorless and very watery. I generally do not like Mediterranean food, but I actually really like this place. The sauces are zangy and good, food is fresh, and the quality is there. To be honest, I have only tried the falafel (vegetarian), so I can't speak for the meat, but it's good. It's also a hefty portion size--I get the plate with an extra pita and it feeds for for two lunches. Service is fantastic. When I order online, it's ready to go when I get there and includes everything I need. The people there are very nice and I don't feel like a bother when I need to pick up. I am an Egyptian originally from Brooklyn, NY, and am proud to come from a family with ties to The Halal Guys in NY. As a Middle Eastern food critic, I can confidently say that this place is the real deal! I recently ordered two shawarma plates to go and they were absolutely delicious, with a perfect array of toppings. The order was ready for me when I arrived, and the food was exactly what I was craving. I am very satisfied with my experience and will definitely be returning in the future.
Really disappointed in our order tonite. we patronize this place in clayton a lot and tonite they did not deliver on their promise of quality and quantity? the two bowls we ordered were like 1/2 orders but we paid full price. One bowl had NO rice, and mushrooms were hardly there at all. Not sure who dropped the ball but i?m not sure if we?re coming back? i had to add my own rice and beans to make it a real meal. if i was the owner of this place, heads would roll? right out the door

Delicious! I took my mom and one of her oldest girlfriends for brunch. It was our first time and it probably won't be our last. Our meals were fresh and oh so tasty. We didn't wait very long and sat outside where you can enjoy a cool drink on their terrace seating. Helpful staff and overrall, this was a memorable experience. Who doesn't love Meditetranean cuisine?
Editing my five star because the last few times I?ve gone have been disappointing. We ordered two falafel pitas and both orders were completely wrong. Mine didn?t have any sauce on it at all and it was so dry and so not worth the money. Sad because I usedto really love this place!
These folks were understaffed, stressed, and working extremely hard today. I felt awful for them, but they still provided me my meal and it was exceptional. I frequent this place because of how delicious the food is, and you should too! Cheers, Garbanzo staff!

Pita was good, but everything else was really subpar. Romaine was wilted. Chicken was cold. Gyro meat was dry. Very small meat portions (2 oz) measured by another chain. Way overpriced given all of this.
