Der Attersee ist mit der Auswahl an Restaurants nicht überfüllt und dieser Klimt genießt es offensichtlich. Unsere dreiköpfige Gruppe saß drinnen an einem Ecktisch, während alle Außenplätze besetzt waren. Die Speisekarten sind nur auf Deutsch, aber was ein Manager scheinbar schnell gelöst hat, hat die Speisekarte übersetzt. Während die Suppe innerhalb von 2 Minuten ankam, mussten wir auf die Hauptgerichte über 45 Minuten warten. Auf die Frage nach dem Grund erklärte der Manager: „Alles wird auf Bestellung zubereitet.“ Wir haben eine kleine Küche und bei vielen Kunden kann es länger dauern. This is a very good venue for coffee and cake and also for lunch when visiting the Gustav Klimt Zentrum or just this end of Attersee. There are inside tables, an outside covered area, and a pavilion at a lower level surrounded by the lakeside park. Most charming. And what is more the coffee and cakes are good too. We returned for lunch and enjoyed the excellent iced teas, some pan fried lake fish with herbed risotto, and a spaghetti with small prawns, tomato, peppers and paprika. The staff were very busy, yet were friendly and helpful. I would certainly return here.
We had been traveling from Prague and stopped here on our way to Salzburg. If you love Klimt, this is an amazing stop. If you liked the painting Allee im Park von Schloss Kammer 1912, that is right next door to this restaurant and museum.We ate outdoors and the wait staff were amazing and gave us as much time as we wanted to finish our meal. I love this "no rushing" attitude in European cafe's. The food was great too! All around, a perfect stop.
Obwohl im Garten ein Tisch für 5 Personen frei war, sagte uns der Kellner, er würde hineinschauen, verschwand für ein paar Minuten und kam dann heraus, aber als wir an uns vorbeigingen und zurück in den Garten gingen, fragten wir eine Kellnerin. ..sie hat praktisch das Gleiche getan. Sehr unhöflich und kann nicht glauben, dass wir zweimal ignoriert wurden. Schöne Lage, also schade. Wir sind woanders hingegangen.

Despite a table for 5 being available in the garden the waiter told us he would check inside, he disappeared for a few minutes and then came out, but totally blanked us walking past and back out to the garden, we then asked a waitress, she did virtually the same thing. Very rude and cannot believe we were ignored twice. Lovely location so was a shame. We went else where.
As one of our family went into the museum, us two sat outside to have drinks, we had a coffee, Almdudler and a banana milkshake. All the drinks came quickly and were served beautifully, the outside seating area is sheltered and has a bit of a view. The staff were kind. Overall I would recommend it here.
We went to the cafe before visiting the museum. There was a fantastic range of cakes and they were delicious. They were light and managed to be creamy without being too sweet. These were definitely the best cakes we have eaten in Austria this week.
Nice coffee and brunch place with a large outside area, excellent coffees. Quiet out of season, but can get quite full during the busy summer months. I would definitely recommend trying their brunch on the weekend. But be warned: Can get very busy!

klimt offers beautiful eating together with drinks directlylz at the lake attersee. the caffe is located right next to the castle chamber, an old castle that was a motiw of klimt.
While stopping at Klimt centre we also decided to have dinner in this restaurant. The waiter was very kind, the meals were good and the prices were decent.
