If you’re hungry you need to go to George’s! The plates of food they serve up are huge and bound to satisfy even the biggest of eaters. I remember being equally impressed and struggling to finish off my veal dish of some sort a year ago, but somehow managing to also fit in one of their incredibly sounding desserts. Serious food coma right there.
Went back as I was after a hearty feed, and was not disappointed one bit. Opting for the vegetarian burger, when it came out not only did the sheer size of it impress me, but they also didn’t hold back on the chips and salad.
Yes the burger was quite difficult and messy to eat, but it was very tasty and up there with one of the best veggie burgers...
Had a wonderful evening with friends here. The wait staff were friendly and welcoming. For starters ordered the Sizzling prawns which came along with Garlic bread. 1/4th of the pot was covered in Oil, so din't really enjoy having it. For mains, ordered Tortellini mushroom pasta with Chicken Schnitzel on the side. While my friends ordered Risotto and Chicken with Mushroom sauce, mashed potato and veggies. The portion sizes of the mains were larger for one. So it would be advisable to share. Or else would definitely waste the rest of the food. To end the evening, we ordered Sydney Mud cake and Hazelnut mousse as desserts, which came along with cream and vanilla ice-cream. Both were yummm. Mud...
What a great little place for fantastic food.
If you intend to eat a main meal here - 'bring your appetite" you will need it. Large servings of great food is an understatement.
I had the Chicken omelet, and it covered the dinner plate, and at a guess it had at least a 1/4 breast of real "FRESH" chicken. My girl friend had the schnitzel sandwich, and it was so large she bought 1/2 home for my lunch the next day. Great place to eat, the cakes look fantastic, we just had no room - maybe next time.
I've been here twice. First time I had hair in my food. I didn't write anything thought of it as a one off. Second time I ordered a dish with allergy requirements. Completely ignored TWICE. They took the dish and gave me a new one with my allergen still present, not sure what they did to it.
Food is expensive.
Quality of produce low.
Staff weren't attentive.

It was my first time eating at this place and it wasn't a very pleasant experience. My friends and I waited for 15-20 min for our food to arrive and when my order came, the waitress got my order wrong and we had to wait for another 15 minutes. We were not given enough cutlery as well and the omelette was quite a disappointment. quite a bad experience here.. don't think I'll come back here again.
One of the overly priced restaurant I have been in whole Sydney, not value for money at all. Food was of not good taste plus meal size was very less compared to what you pay for it. Chips served with burger was not even to standards of frozen ones at super market. Disappointed
Came here for dessert after dinner on Christmas day. We had the Sydney Mud, Tiramisu and Pineapple Gelato. The Tiramisu definitely stood out from all desserts. It's delicious but not too rich. Sydney Mud is very moist but a bit too rich for my liking. Coffee was good.
Told off by the wait staff: it's a family restaurant, please don't kiss in front of the kids! So I never went back. Lol! Food is ok. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

The only place I would go at night when in burwood. The people are nice and the food is nice. I didn't like the drinks though you can just get a Coke or sprite haha. Very nice. Thank you.
Shocking customer service. They stuffed the order up and just forgot things like the drinks and sauces. The food was probably a 4/10. The owner really needs to pull their socks up.
