Couldn't get past the appetizers.We were so excited to have Italian as we were burned out on fried food and my name to our grandchildren is Gigi! Unfortunately, my excitement quickly vanished. Our sodas were flat. We ordered escargot and calamari as appetizers and because our service had been so bad we decided to wait for the appetizers before ordering our mains....we had a bad feeling by this point. Our server was running. He was in such a rush it seemed he was throwing our drinks and food at us. We just laughed it off but honestly it was the weirdest service I've experienced. The service at this restaurant was terrible, with zero hospitality! The waiter was in such a hurry that he barely took care of us. It was a strange experience that ruined our dining experience. Despite being busy, he ignored our table multiple times and never refilled our water. The calamari was decent, but we were ready to leave as soon as we ordered our food. It seemed like nobody enjoyed working there, including the unfriendly girl who served us. The broccoli and shrimp dish was good, and our server checked on us briefly, but he was too overwhelmed to focus on the tables. First impressions are crucial.
I don't usually write reviews, but our experience at Gigi's on Treasure Island yesterday was exceptional. The food was outstanding, but the service was so amazing that we hardly even noticed. I dubbed our server the "ghost server" because every time I requested something, it magically appeared on our table without us even seeing it being brought over. If you want exceptional service, ask for Hiram at your next meal - you won't be disappointed.
We have been dining in and delivering meals from Gigi's for over 20 years. It was one of our very favorites, especially for pizza. Gigi's was my absolute favorite for Pizza, but about a year and a half ago I noticed that the price went up and the quality went down. Our first time here and we won't be going back. The sauce tasted bland, I get better tasting sauce out of a jar. My breaded chicken breast was thin and overcooked. Meatballs had no seasoning.
We dined there Monday evening. I had the combo and my wife had the pasta. Both dishes were superb, very authentic Italian cuisine. Wish we had one in Jacksonville.
Great spot. Have been coming for about 15 years. It’s always a stop for us when we are in town. Old school feel, food is always great. Kids always love the pizza.

We had a great meal from their early bird menu. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We also enjoyed watching the fish in the aquarium.
