GINZA IS BACK, even BETTER than before at their previous location at the Wintonbury strip mall. The location is PERFECT and once you 've experienced the new location and all it has to offer, like us, you 'll realize it was essential to move from the former location. It 's a HUGE revitalization and breathes new life into their genius. We 've gone twice already. Once for takeout (shrimp shumai and 2 sushi rolls . Shrimp shumai was even better than we remembered. For the roll, I wasn 't quite sure how I felt about the cucumber still having the the outer skin on it and being part of the roll. One of us liked it the other was not yet sure. When the original Ginza ran into problems and the quality was an issue, we stopped frequenting it. It has changed locations and reopened a few months ago, and what a difference there is! The quality of the food, its preparation, and presentation are beyond compare to any other Asian restaurant in our area, and there are some really good choices out there. Same for the service. We didn't know it had reopened until friends took us there. We would urge those who may have stayed away because of a poor experience in the former restaurant to give this new iteration a try. The new Ginza is terrible. The old location was 100% better. When we arrived to their new location, we found out that they no longer have hibachi tables which is what we were looking forward to. They still serve hibachi food, however everyone at our table received cold hibachi food. Service was extremely slow, but it was apparent to us that establishment is clearly understaffed since our server was also the bartender for the entire restaurant. First time in here and atmosphere is amazing, extremely clean but restaurant is to small and boring no music or anything. However employees are extremely professional and friendly. No hibachi tables on top of everything which is weird to me because most hibachi restaurants have them. Although food take for ever , drinks barely taste like alcohol they are either to sweet or to sour. May, the gracious hostess at Ginza, was instrumental in guiding us through their menu. With her expert recommendations, we indulged in a wonderful dinner, from the Love Boat (sushi rolls and sashimi) to the stir fried beef udon. Her warm hospitality and knowledge of the cuisine made our dining experience truly memorable. 2 millions in tax fraud forcing the closing at Wintonbury square , reopens at Mountain View location and prices are absolutely ridiculous. Walked in and walked out. Inflated price gouging to comp costs. No respect for this company anymore. Used to be favorite place in Bloomfield
