Food was very good but the bartender, Jackie was DEFINITELY not! My boyfriend and I were at the bar. We ordered drinks. There was a reserved spot with two placemats to the right of us. Once we ordered dinner, I slid the placemats to the left so she didn’t need to reach over the draft beer handles, holiday decorations and our wine glasses. She came over and noticed that I shifted the placemats over and said the MOST DISRESPECTFUL, NASTY words that ANY SERVICE EMPLOYEE in any establishment has ever said (all because I slid down two placemats about 2 feet). Then she rudely stated that I needed to take my purse off the chair next to me (which I was going to do once I took my glasses out anyway)....
Worst experience EVER!! Do not waste your money! The man at the front desk was snooty because we didn 't have a reservation. The waiter was extremely rude and rolled his eyes that we had a 9 year old with us. Like he was mad he got stuck with the table with a kid. He was very disrespectful and impersonable. My husbands steak was raw in the middle so we sent it back. The waiter was unapologetic about this and when he brought it back, it was overcooked and hard as a rock. When he cleared our plates and asked how everything was, we said it was terrible and he didn 't care. He said nothing but cleared our plates. Do not be fooled by the humble location, this is the some of the greatest Italian food to be had in the 5 boroughs, and the surrounding suburbs (NJ, CT, Rockland County, etc.)There is nothing even remotely performative about this authentic Italian treasure: pure quality cuisine of the highest order, straight from the Motherland, with exquisite drinks and an authentically old school interior that will leave you singing and coming back for more—flavor, freshness, balance, etc.Every time I’m in town, this is the place i go, as I can’t even recall Italian food this good outside Italy since Oggis in Manhattan closed many moons ago.Hats off to the chef and the staff—this is my happiest happy place...
Stay far away for many reasons. Food was average, service horrible and servers were rude. drinks are watered down and wine pours are criminal.waited 20 minutes for our drinks and 50 minutes for our dinner. It get's better. When asked for a manager to discuss our displeasure I was lied to in terms of who I was speaking with. The owners and their daughter are unstable so be careful if you have an issue. I typically do not post reviews but this warrants this review. Enter at your own risk. Scary scene

a favorite place is eating always wonderfully with unique dressed and specialties. the menu changes and some current favorites are the grilled otopus, stroke bean salad and artichoke cace e pepe. large weinlist, and the server are all very friendly and attentive. try it really is a great place for an authentic Italian dinner! you will love it.
The service at this restaurant is top-notch and the food is delicious. They offer traditional Italian fare, with a focus on dishes that are a bit spicy like paprika and sausages. The wine list is impressive and reasonably priced. Our group didn't have dessert, but our friends enjoyed their bread pudding and lava cake.
The food was excellent, the staff was very friendly, and the service was outstanding. I will definitely be returning!
