Yesterday I got Golden Krust in Orange for lunch. I ordered the Large Oxtail w/ Rice Peas, Cabbage, and Plantains. I also ordered a Spicy Beef Patty on the side. Absolutely loved the Oxtails. They were tender and had great flavor. And the sauce it was in was very good as well. I asked the lady to give me more veggies than rice, and then told her I?d pay for extra oxtails. The lady happily obliged. Customer service was awesome and attentive. The two ladies who prepped and took my order were really nice. My only real issue was the spicy beef patty. I never make reviews, but that was a disappointment. I don't live in my old town anymore. I have to stop and get a meal before I go home and order a big stew chicken, rice, cabbage and curtains. Page of Mac cheese. Coco Bread? That's the wrong way. When did you start putting butter on COCO bread? Omg. The cabbage is not cooked much sauce. Just no taste. I've never been disappointed. If I had lived around the corner, I would bring it back. I don't know what happened when all of you moved away from Main Day, but that wasn't the food I expected. Call Grandma, Pop-Pop or Aunt Lucy because your business is going out when it stays up.
The food is always good but the workers always have horrible attitudes and the managers always have to step in and correct the situation.. on top of that the price skyrocketed and I?ve been eating here since forever, won?t anymore. The other day I went here and they told me I had to pay extra to get sauce put on the rice?. Oxtail SAUCE! Even though I?ve been getting it on the rice every time I?ve been here getting the same order every time? now it?s extra
I'm really frustrated with this place. I spent over $60 on oxtail, mac and cheese, and a beef patty. The oxtail was watery and didn't even taste like oxtail, and the mac and cheese was just the bottom portion. I usually enjoy their food, but if I didn't, I would have returned the meal. It's also disappointing that there's no way to get a refund. If I could give zero stars, I would.

4 years ago I ordered an oxtail dinner and it was terrible so today 4 years later I have the same order oxen of the oxtail was fat no meat on it was terrible terrible I will never order from this restaurant again I also have food from Golden Krust on Lyons avenue their oxtail are amazing main street Golden Krust sucks great time Lyons avenue believe in Newark
All I can say is that the curry goat had cloves and carrots, as well as other lovely spices in it. With love?. It seems to be a very popular place as it was crowded. And it doesn't seem that you can preorder. That's why you'll wait a long time... But it's worth it! As far as Jamaican food goes, this place represents!

The most unprofessional and rudest staff I ever met in a Golden Crust restaurant. Don't get me wrong, the food is excellent. My favorite item is the hard dough bread, but I'm just going to travel to NY to get it.

The food is very good especially if you looking for a Caribbean cuisine the people they are courteous and. very helpful. Right there on main Street in Orange New Jersey go grab yourself a meal.
Place is immaculate. Staff is always courteous. I have enjoyed the food I bought from the restaurant in East Orange New Jersey restaurant.what I get would serve for two meals.
