My wife and I were looking for a place to have lunch near Comox Lake when we came across Gonza Okonomiyaki. We were pleasantly surprised by the incredible meal we had. We ordered the Gonza Special and the Pork Donburi, both of which were absolutely delicious, but the Okonomiyaki was on another level! We’re from Vancouver and regularly enjoy a variety of Japanese restaurants, but none compare to the flavors at Gonza. The next time we visit Cumberland, we will definitely return!
The food was delicious! I wish I could have it every day-we were lucky to be in town when it reopened after their break. Everything was great, but the veggie okonomiyaki Campbell River spot prawns) was definitely one of my favourite things from the trip. This was the best okonomiyaki we've ever had! The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. We can't wait to stop by again when we're in town!
