A great place to go with young friends on a hot day. When the shop opened in the 1990s I believe it was the first in Canberra to offer the frozen custard creations, although I may be wrong. My friends and I used to frequent this store and try all the different flavours, with chocolate custard and Dime bar being my favourite. I still go there from time to time, but the young staff can vary in their friendliness and efficiency when lots of people are waiting for their desserts to be made up. But if you have a sweet tooth then pay a visit to Goodberry's Creamery.
Going to Goodberry's for Icecream or custard as they call it is a must when you visit Canberra. You can order a specialty icecream sundae or you favourite toppings which are mixed into what they call a concrete. My favourite is Vanilla custard /icecream with marshmallows M & Ms and bananas mixed in, then with hot chocolate drizzling over the top. My husband loves vanilla custard/ icecream with macadamia nuts and peanuts mixed with caramel sauce then drizzled with hot chocolate but you can have whatever you desire. Eat in or take away and they are open late.
Let’s get it straight if you are after frozen custard dessert then it has to be Goodberries. My personal favourite is a mixture of vanilla and chocolate custard with honeycomb. There are many other varieties and new ones on the go from time to time. Three sizes – baby bear, momma bear and poppa bear. Service is very quick. Oh by the way they also do other foods like nachos and hot dogs.
I've lived in Canberra all my life and I am a frequent Goodberry's customer. They are always so busy but service is always prompt. There are so many delicuous options to choose from, it's really a dessert dream! There isn't much seating inside so on a busy night it can be hard to eat in and it's always risky trying to get your dessert home because it melts fast

For the first time, I tried frozen yogurt with so many flavors. I can bet on that if you try once, you cannot resist going again and again. Most of the evenings this place is busy, busiest during summer and even in winters. The service is a classic example for retailers. Must visit for Canberra visitors and ice cream lovers.
I've been eating goodberries for years- it's my ultimate icecream treat. Don't be turned off by the concept of "frozen custard" it's like a rich soft serve with your favorite toppings mixed through. Soooo delicious- if you haven't been yet you're missing out!
The frozen custard was delicious but the service was awful. No eye contact smiles or even a nice tone of voice. Plonked in front me with slurred words that I couldn't make out. Shame the food is good but I won't come here again.
Nice easy dessert. Plenty of options. A good local alternative to Baskin's or ice creamery. Similar style. Chocolate or Vanilla frozen custard, fudges, salted caramels and butterscotch. Cookies, shakes.

Fun place, good choices. Lots of young energy, noisy friendly and helpful smiling staff to guide 'ahem' 'older' customers to make-up their minds.
Coming for interstate on a holiday, this was my first time trying Goodberrys. It didn't disappoint. It was delicious and reasonably priced.
