Great little spot, friendly staff. Menu was perfect, not too overwhelming. Unfortunately, the pork, of all things, was awful. I got a “pulled pork” sandwich, the pork was not pulled.it was a pork chop cut into small cubes and the meat was very very tough. I know how to make pulled pork that melts in your mouth. If I go to restaurant, I expect them to be BETTER than me as they are professional cooks. With prices the way they are, $50 for 2ppl should yield a meal I would never be able to duplicate myself. We were in from out of town and a lot of other restaurants in the area seemed like they were closed on a Sunday. We went to Gorky's for dinner, and I'm glad we did. The food was awesome. I got the ribs, which came in a very generous pile, and we also got some of the smoked chicken, a sandwich and several of the sides. All of it was very tasty. We especially liked the chocolate chip pie dessert, which might have been the highlight of our entire trip. If I ever make it back to Mt Pleasant, I'm definitely coming back to Gorky's.
Well over an hour drive from where I live and it's worth every last ride. Had the **** in the pictures. Was absolutely the best pork chop I didn't eat in my life bar. Couldn't be cooked better than that. Taste was excellent, meat was so delicate that it melted in the mouth, and the sides were also brilliant. Actually, I couldn't find a place more than this place. Absolutely a must see!
The food was great. Fresh greens (they grow their own) and outstanding entrees. Service was great. And in Mount Pleasant. Fun surprise. A local suggested it to us. He had my gratitude. Wow! Ate here for the second time. Both times were great experiences. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was great. But my wife had an elk burger, which she allowed me to sample. It was outstanding! Kind of made me regret my choice. The waitress was friendly, but not in an overbearing way. We will return next time in town!
I had pork ribs and chicken thigh. Pork was just so delicious, but the chicken was the best I ever had. I usually don’t order chicken as they are often dry, but this was so juicy and tender and skin was smoky. Waiter was very professional, and the service as good. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Great local barbecue place in our town. The food here is fresh and so tasty. I got a half rack of ribs and they were so smoky and flavorful. Their cornbread and chili was such a good comforting start to the meal. Their sides compliment the barbecue perfectly. Highly recommended.
Fantastic food. I had the ribs with Carolina sauce. Probably some of the best ribs I have ever had. The atmosphere was great! I had super fun conversation with people I had never met. I am here on a short work trip but I will probably go again tomorrow night.

The elk burger is amazing one minor flaw the bun was not toasted the service was amazing the menu is off the charts I highly recommend Gorky’s
