Feels like home — absolutely delicious! Gran Villa is a true hidden gem! The beef was incredibly tender and flavorful, the beans were rich and tasty, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the vegetables were fresh and full of flavor. Every bite reminded me of home-cooked meals — just like at grandma’s house. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and welcoming. It’s clean, well-organized, and beautifully decorated. The staff is polite, attentive, and truly cares about the guests. You feel like family the moment you walk in. EL SALVADOR Eat the World NYC review: Sometimes a human being just needs a quick pupusa fix. Luckily the place closest to me is very good at making them, and quite a bit of other Salvadoran dishes. A recent return visit also found the hearty soups to be worth exploring, full of chayote and warmth perfect any time of year. ° The restaurant also has a full line of American breakfasts and sandwiches, which brings in a lot of the surrounding blue collar workers that are not yet ready to make the switch to tasty Salvadoran breakfasts and pupusas like many of the families sitting at the tables. ° Oh, and a quick P.S.A.: Don't eat pupusas with a fork and knife you animal!

From my experience, it can range from 5/5 on some days to 3/5 on others, and even drop to 2/5. They offer a Salvadoran drink called cola champagne. Be prepared for the possibility that during pickup or delivery, part of your order might be incorrect. Resolving these issues can become complicated. Overall, it's a great place to bring the whole family and enjoy delicious food without alcohol. Next time I visit, I plan to try some other dishes and will provide an update."
Gran Villa is a delightful neighborhood restaurant that serves tasty food with outstanding service, all without any pretense. The space is clean and roomy, clearly managed by owners who are passionate about their craft and attentive to their guests. Every dish we tried was skillfully made, full of flavor, and featured fresh ingredients. The authenticity really stands out, particularly in dishes like pupusas. The food and service is 10/10. Everyone was so welcoming and the decor was very cozy with Salvadorean touches everywhere like the beautiful towel paintings hung up on the exposed brick wall! I had the salmon with rice and vegetables as well as the vegetable soup. The salmon was so tender and fresh. The soup was to die for, the broth was delectable and the vegetables inside were soft and full of flavor. Make sure to try the pupusas as well! The chicken and cheese is my favorite.
Just came here off of a friend's memory. We walked in. Immediately greeted..their menu was great sized. We went ahead and opted for the buffet ish food behind the glass. Me and my partner got something different. The person was SO HELPFUL. Offered to let us taste of we needed. We got different beans but they were both impeccable. I consistently enjoy a fantastic dining experience at Gran Villa. The food is excellent and evokes cherished memories of my childhood in El Salvador. Their pupusas are incredibly tasty, and the soups—especially the beef and vegetable varieties—are superb. My family appreciates the extensive menu, and the customer service is outstanding with truly exceptional staff.
