Sorry, but being a Brit, I know all about fish and chips. Ordering cod and chips for hubby, myseld and two pommie friends. All of us were delighted with the fish, sweet white and chunky, but whatever happened to the chips?? I haven't seen chips like it.....especially in England!! I know the staff are proud of the fact the chips are homemade, but they were small, pale and shrivelled.....actually inferior to any number of frozen chips available from the supermarkets. Going back to our local in Helensvale.
Hi I visited this place because they recently won Best Fish and chips in Queensland.I did read some negative reviews but thought it was judged best so will give it a go.Had Cod and chips and it was best I have had anywere Good outside area and staff were super helpful Was very busy but still took the time to check on everyone who ate outside.Would definitely recommend 5 star
After just spending 5 weeks in uk i said the only thing missing here is a good old british chippy and here it is. Cheese and onion, mushhy peas, curry n chips but to name a few british favourate.cooked and tasted to perfection.I guess i now have no reason to back to uk. Thanks for having a go guys.success on a plate.
Well we thought we would try it. Cod has no flavour and so greasy that I won't need lip gloss for a few days. You may as well eat air for the flavour. Chips stone motherless cold and undercooked. Waste of $28.00 and waste of time. Give me Buddies at Monterey Keys anytime.

Decent British fish and chip shop abroad. Decent chips, pies and the rest of what you expect from a chippy. You get decent sized portions. Ring your order through as it does take a while, especially if it is a big order.
- The restaurant offers $2 loose meat sandwiches and has gum on the walls. Despite this, it is considered a local icon. If you visit and try the food, you will leave happy.
Had the cod and chips take away. Chips were a soggy mess and the cod fat-soaked. Expensive too. There are better chip shops around albeit not with frozen cod.
Great food, well priced, friendly staff - also nice area to sit outside. The little shop inside sold a variety of English treats - we will go back

I can't praise or criticize this restaurant that seems to be stuck in the 1960s.
The cost of a mediocre hamburger sandwiched between two buns is reasonable.
