Friendly and Tasty. Overall, this was a great experience. We went with a group of five, and two of our group had rather difficult diet restrictions. Jessica, our waitress was so wonderful, patient and helpful. She even brought us a little container of the Greek dressing to take home after we raved about it! So thoughtful!! I made sure the manager knew how impressed I was with her, but she really deserves a big shout out. <br/ <br/ Most of us ordered the September special, which is some sort of combo for only $15.99. I stopped by Greek Islands last night for some last-minute takeout. I didn't call ahead, I just walked in and placed my order. Mike greeted me and quickly took my order to the kitchen so I wouldn't have to wait long. I sat at the bar and had a pleasant conversation with the staff. I ordered a scotch and shortly after, the bartender gave me a complimentary shot, followed by a shot of sambuca from Mike. When my order was ready, they insisted I didn't have to pay for the scotch. This place is quite the establishment! I was very surprised with how clean everything was, and the restaurant itself looked modern and aesthetic. It's hard to see it is tucked away on the side of 152 St, and we heard about the place through word of mouth! The food here is great, particularly the calamari it is excellent here. I tend to go to New York New York more often than this place, but the calamari here beats any calamari I've ever tried. Great food, good atmosphere. Just noticed this new addition to the Surrey restaurant scene and decided to try it out for my wife's birthday. It was a great experience! The decor is unpretentious, the food is terrific, the staff are super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the portions were generous. I had the chicken and prawn combo souvlaki, and from soup and salad through to the main course there wasn't a false note. Wonderful Dinner. This is a great place to have a Greek dinner. Service was excellent, very friendly waiters and even the owner stopped by to check up on us. I had the prawns Santorini, and it was the best ever. When I asked about their Greek salad dressing (their own recipe) I was delighted to hear that it is available for purchase. I bought some before leaving and am going back for more. My friends bought a container of their Caesar Salad dressing.We all enjoyed our dinners and highly recommend this place for dinner, you won't be sorry!
Greek Islands restaurants are family run with locations throughout the Fraser Valley (Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Surrey). Their Surrey restaurant opened about 3 years ago and I have been hooked on them ever since I tried them. They are my favourite Greek place. One of the things I love most about Greek Islands is whether you are eating in or taking out, you receive their complimentary bowl of soup. I have enjoyed every creation I have tried including chowder, cream of chicken, lentil and tonight’s offering, creamy garlic mushroom.
This is definitely one of the greatest Greek restaurants I have ever visited. I have enjoyed both take-out and dining in numerous times, and I am always amazed by the high quality and generous portion sizes of the food. I appreciate that they include soup with every main dish and do not charge extra for substituting a Caesar salad for a Greek salad.
Beautiful interior and clean establishment. I ordered the Thallasopita. Food was very tasty. Serving size is on the large side yet it went down so easily with some wine and good company. Service was excellent! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
