I was here in my Chicago airport plane spotting trip. Very good place for enjoying food and a sprinkle of airplanes too as they can go over or near you (not loud when I was there). Anyway, when I first arrived the owner was the very first person I met. He helped opened the door for me when he saw me as I am in a wheelchair. Then, I was greeted by the rest of the staff there and was immediately taken care to be seated. The staff loved getting to know you and sharing about their lives too (I loved the owner. We’re new to the area and gave this place a try, located in downtown Bensenville. Plenty of parking available. I believe they have turned into an Italian restaurant recently as the menu says Ciao Isabella. Was very surprised with how dead the restaurant was because food and drinks were amazing. We had bruschetta, meatballs, pasta with vodka sauce and my husband had the steak sandwich. We shared some tiramisu and espresso martinis for dessert. Chefs kiss! Unfortunately, it seems that the changes being made now under the new management are not positive changes. Green Street Grill has always been the local burger and beer place. Great place to gather with friends and family and have a casual get together. Now, we walk into white table clothes and water goblets. This is not the Green Street that Bensenville has known and loved. The atmosphere feels misplaced. It's not us. We heard the menu will also be changing to Italian. We will very much miss the burgers and sandwiches, tots, and chips. We are not sure why these changes were made, but feel that it needs to be shared that not all of Bensenville is pleased with this. We miss our Green Street.
My husband, son, and I had a wonderful dining experience at the Green Street Grille this past weekend. I want to highlight that the majority of the menu now features traditional Italian dishes, and they are absolutely delicious. Both my husband and I have worked in the food and beverage industry for over 20 years, and I can confidently say it was one of the best meals we've ever had. Pete, our host, was incredibly warm and welcoming and engaged us in friendly conversation throughout our visit. From the front window, we enjoyed watching airplanes land at the nearby airport, which added a unique touch to our experience.

The rest of us ordered pasta, but we were disappointed. Given the revamp to an Italian menu and the higher prices, we anticipated flavorful dishes with some depth, but instead, everything tasted like pre-packaged sauce and pasta. We definitely preferred the previous American grill menu over this lackluster Italian offering they are currently promoting.
On a positive note, our waiter, Rob, was fantastic. We frequent Green St. quite often, and every time we have Rob, we are always impressed by his hospitality and service. However, the older waitress—whose name I don’t know—often seems to view helping us as a burden.
We went for an early dinner on Sunday night and it was delicious. My husband and I had the salmon. I high recommend it. All of the food was VERY good. Even the Tiramisu (which I’m usually not a big fan of)was so good! So glad we tried it. We will definitely be going back again!
We are going to be back, the food was fresh, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere is great! I felt like I was a young girl listening to grandmas music. What a great place to go, I’ll definitely be going back. Thanks for a great time.
11/10 Service was excellent, food was excellent, inside is clean and very nice. I wish there was one of these back home by me in Milwaukee, Wisconsin because I would be going here to eat all the time.

This restaurant is now called Ciao Isabella! The authentic Italian food is fantastic! I really enjoyed the new atmosphere! I can't wait to come back and try more dishes from the menu!
