The poor rating for service definitely isn't a reflection of our lovely waitress, who was fantastic, especially considering it was her first shift. The low score comes from the difficulty in reaching you by phone or email. Out of a five-person booking, three of us attempted to contact you multiple times throughout the week leading up to our reservation, but we never received a response. I’m sure this is causing you to lose potential customers.
Typical menu but done to a high standard. Recently refurbished (or very well maintained, good ambience and friendly staff. Some distance for many to travel, but worth the visit. Options to stay overnight in local rooms.
The restaurant has a charming ambiance, a warm atmosphere, and the staff are attentive and friendly. The food is exquisite and offers great value for the price. I will definitely be returning.

Excellent food, staff were knowledgeable about the menu. Prices were reasonable for the quality/ quantity of food, we all had started and mains, with no room left for sweets.
Great food and very good service. For piece and quiet sit in the original part of the building. Looking forward to returning when the weather is warmer and eating outside.
While visiting family all meeting for family meal. Two small children in the party made very welcome and a large open area behind pub.
