Just go... buy food.. eat it... I ordered a lot more food than I can eat just because I wanted to try. I ordered some voodoo fingers or roasted catfish with a beautiful diving sauce oh my goodness. I also ordered a page of Mac and cheese. That was really spicy beautiful in the Roux they used. for most part I eat every Mac and cheese, but that's special. I am often not happy with red beans and rice (because boring), but I enjoyed them very much. Just the right amount of sausage. Only the correct amount of spices; delicious. I decided to stop by after an appointment in the area. I was with my husband, who tends to be a bit of a picky eater, but Gumbos did not disappoint! We both chose the Pick 2 option. I ordered the roast beef sandwich, while my husband went for the chicken. I also opted for jambalaya, and he chose gumbo. We both enjoyed our meals, and our little one loved the garlic butter green beans. I treated myself to some candied mashed yams, and they were absolutely heavenly! I will definitely be returning in the future. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very relaxed.
I took my significant other to Gumbo's for his birthday. Gumbo's I will be a returning customer. I can't wait to take my mom. The atmosphere was nice. They have 3 different sides of the restaurant you can choose to sit. It was my first time there so I chose the Mardi Gras side. The food come out on time, it was hot and delicious. I ordered the seafood platter, Mac n cheese, garlic green beans were my fav) and a **** Mary. Their in house sweet tea will bring me back. The staff was great and helpful with knowing the menu.
The first time, but not the last. Great family property and restaurant. Very friendly staff and welcoming inside. The food was excellently prepared by Mama! Our new favorite place! Shrimp Gumbo is delicious! Fish chips with Hush puppies is fantastic! Bananas Foster was amazing and so was Brownie (and especially when combined)! Nice friendly staff. Only about 10 minutes to fulfill our order. We recommend this place very much!
You have to check out this restaurant! The food and service were fantastic. My only downside was that they were out of a few main dishes I had wanted to try. However, I really enjoyed the rice and beans, Cajun pasta, and catfish fingers the most.
The catfish was outstanding, and the sweet potato fries were just as delicious. Our waiter and cook, Joe, provided excellent service. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, giving it a genuine homey vibe.
