I found the fish to be too greasy, and even though there were no other customers in the restaurant, it took around 30 minutes for our order to arrive. To make things worse, when our food finally came, it was handed to us in a bag, and we were told that the restaurant was closing and we couldn't eat there. It was frustrating because we had planned to dine in, and it would have been helpful if they had informed us about their closing time before we placed our order.
The fish was excessively greasy, and despite the restaurant being empty, it took around 30 minutes for our order to arrive. We intended to dine in, but when our food was finally ready, it was handed to us in a bag with the information that they were closing and we couldn't eat there. It was frustrating, especially since we had planned to eat inside when we arrived, and they didn't inform us about the closing policy until after we had placed our order.
One of the last remaining H. Salt Fish and Chips locations is still operating. Don’t come expecting a fancy atmosphere or a five-star dining experience; it’s quite casual. I visited another branch near the studio, and I found the quality of the ingredients to be consistently good. I occasionally used some coupons, but they aren't frequently offered. Since each branch is a franchise, don’t expect any strong marketing efforts.
Wow, the portion sizes here are incredible! They serve actual filets for the fish and chips. The crust is perfect and packed with flavor—I absolutely love the food. This place was amazing, Fresh fish clean oil and quicker than expected. Wish I can go today again, it was soooo good. I like my tarter sauce a little more sour than sweet but not. A complaint just preference we googles best fish and chips and yes everyone looked happy and excited to get their food. : will definitely be back.
The fried oysters were previously frozen, and when I bit into one, all I got was a mouthful of liquid. The breading on the fish was excessively thick and completely lacking in flavor. I wouldn't recommend dining here; there are much better fish markets with higher quality offerings!
One of my favorite places since childhood. Some places offer you fish fingers, this place offers practically fish patties! And the chips (fries) *Chef's kiss* tasty, even without ketchup. Lastly, this may just be me, but the extra charge for their tartar sauce is so worth it!

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. JUST LIKE I REMEMBERED SO MANY YEARS AGO...THE LOCATION IN GARDENA IS CLOSED DUE TO A FIRE...NOT SURE IF OR WHEN IT WILL REOPEN...BUT THE HSALT IN CARSON IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS....
