I have had Ethiopian food only a few times and it has always been a good experience. The food from this place reminded me of food from a loving home’s kitchen. As strange as that sounds, it is how the food tasted like. Everything was seasoned well and great quantity too. Just the right amount of spice. I opted for carry out and the staff were extremely nice despite me just having a couple of minutes worth of interaction. It’s hard to make an impression in that timeframe but somehow these guys nailed that too. I am definitely looking to returning back, hopefully for dine-in next time around. Great job guys!
I haven't had Ethiopian in 4 years, so when I had to come to Ottawa today I jumped on the chance to have my favourite meal. The habesha platter. I tell you the food was amazing along with the service. My daughter asked for a chocolate milk and they didn't have any, but the server said I will go over to Tim hortons and grab you one on me. I was in awww that someone would actually do that for my daughter. The next time or anytime I am in Ottawa I will be coming here. You will not be disappointed. If I had 100 thumbs they would all be up. Thank you Habesha for satisfying my Ethiopian craving.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. We visited because it specializes in Ethiopian cuisine, which we enjoy and hadn't tried in a while. The server, a friendly lady, made some excellent recommendations. We opted for the platter and found it to be delicious. We wanted to also try the Ethiopian coffee, but unfortunately had to leave before we could. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. I would definitely recommend this place.
Pretty decent Ethiopian restaurant in Ottawa. Quantity is a bit less compared to some other Ethiopian restaurants so please be mindful if you are planning to dine-in with family. The non-veg items were tastier, they didn't have the liver dishes when I visited. Habesha platter is definitely one of the dishes you can try, the injera was indeed soft and tasty. I had the most amazing dining experience! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious! While chatting with the woman that was working, I mentioned I hadn't tried Ethiopian food before, she then brought out a different type of Injera for me to try! I will 100% be going back!
The service was outstanding, the food was delectable and unlike anything I've ever tried. While it took a bit longer than anticipated for our food to come out, I was dining with a large group so that could have contributed to the delay. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.
My partner and I went here for supper. We were greeted promptly, our waitress was very friendly, food came out quickly and it was delicious! We each got a platter. Afterwards we had tea and coffee which had a wonderful presentation. Will definitely be coming back.
