I visited this restaurant based on my daughter's recommendation of their Mirliton dish, which she said contained beef. When I ordered, I requested fried plantains instead of rice on the side. Despite asking about the type of meat in the dish, the server answered in Creole, mentioning "cushon." I mistakenly assumed this meant beef, but soon realized it was not beef after tasting the dish. I ended up eating around the meat and focusing on the delicious fried plantains. Next time, I plan to call ahead and request a custom order to make sure it is pork-free, as the dish was so tasty that it would be worth paying extra for a personalized order. Even if I have to order a large quantity and freeze...
Doesn't look like much when you walk by... I actually thought it was closed or an abandoned shop. The inside of the restaurant is really hot, so I wouldn't plan to eat in there. They also don't go a great job at calculating your total for the food. The food is great and that soursop juice?! Splendid but as far as organization and comfortability... It could use some work.
I requested extra sauce with my large order of rice and beans because the small amount they provide is insufficient. Unfortunately, my order of rice arrived without any sauce. I was extremely upset as I prefer to have my rice moist rather than dry.
Started ordering from here a few months ago, pretty consistent. Sometimes they forget the sauce but not really a big deal. I usually get the fried turkey and black rice. Sometimes the rice is fresher than other times but this is my go-to place.

Don 't bother. Just go to danie 's. The business seems to be on its last legs as the person who was at the counter didn 't come out for 15mins. When I shouted hello she said hold on
Tasted great, on point with the salt, not greasy, could do better on the fried plantains. Will definitely recommend friends and family members to purchase from this establishment.
Glad I found this spot. This is authentic homemade Haitian food. The portions are large. We ordered griot, legume, rice and beans and had leftovers for days.
As most HaitiaN/Carribean spots, the amount of rice will last you days. And like many other restaurants, it’s the serving of meat day needs to increase

I ordered the Griot with rice and beans, and the Jute with white rice. The prices were very reasonable and the food was excellent.
The food are very tasty. from the black rice to the legume everything is well done.
