I could be the odd one here cos most of the reviews are good however I was not happy with the experience at this restaurant. I know Indian food really well and have tried heaps of Indian restaurants around Brisbane and recently bumped into Halim's for dinner. Firstly the staff needs to learn customer service, felt like no one really cares.. the food is just dropped on your table, they don't bother asking before clearing plates, curry bowls... inspite knowing people at the table are eating and having conversations they just ignore. Came here on a recommendation from a colleague who knew I loved biryani, and I was not disappointed. The chicken biryani was absolutely delicious and authentic, and came in an unbelievably large portion.My husband and I were able to get 5 meals out of the portion we ordered - and all that for $17.50! We are definitely going to be regulars here - it's great value for money and so tasty. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a filling and flavourful biryani.
Cannot fault the food here - absolutely incredible value and quality. Huge servings and always excellent flavors. When eating in, the service can be a bit abrupt, but we still keep coming back as this has got to be the best Indian food around this area.
I ordered takeaway. The price was reasonable. The delivery time wasn't too bad particularly for a Friday night. The food was quite tasty. The portion sizes were good. One of the curry dishes was not what I ordered. The mystery curry dish was good.

It was okay. This was far from traditional Indian food as you can get. It's Aussie style Indian food. It's average, watery and flavourless. Service was poor and unprofessional, restaurant is generally dirty and dated.
Long wait (50 minutes) for the food. Some later tables got the food before us. They seemed very unorganized on a busy Saturday night. But the food was really really good. Maybe order take away next time!
We ring ahead when needing takeaway after a busy day. We have to admit the UBER EATs has changed the speed of service for those both dining in and taking away. That's progress I guess.
First time - dined solo, delicious chili cauliflower vegetarian curry, garlic naan was spot on, service was excellent.
