Halves serves top-quality cuts of meat that are both tasty and tender, whether you decide to boil or grill them. Here’s a tip for enjoying shabu shabu: after swirling the thinly sliced meat in the boiling broth, dip it into either the GOMA or YUZU dipping sauce. This not only cools the meat but also enhances its flavor. It's a fantastic spot for small groups of 2 to 4, but I wouldn't recommend it for larger parties unless you're comfortable sitting at the bar.
I recently discovered a new shabu restaurant that also offers grilling options, and I must say, it’s a clean and visually appealing place. I decided to sit at the bar today and ordered the Miyazaki A5 beef, which interestingly came from a cow named Mitsufuku. The marbling of the meat was truly impressive. The broth was served in a cast iron pot, so be cautious—it may not seem super hot, but it really is! I only needed to dip the meat for about two to three seconds, and when I took a bite, it melted in my mouth. Without a doubt, this is the best quality shabu meat I’ve had in a long time!

However, it’s not ideal for groups of five or more since the tables are generally designed for four or less, or at the bar. They do provide high chairs for children, but it's not particularly a family-friendly place. Located in a strip mall, there is adequate parking available.
Absolutely worth the extra $8 to get the Prime Ribeye. It's significantly better—tender and flavorful. I did have one hiccup with the delivery; they mistakenly sent me around 6 ounces of chopped garlic instead of daikon, but I won't hold that against them. I'm not a huge fan of the small bits of cabbage they serve, but I guess that's just their style, so it's not a major issue. All the ingredients are fresh.

I really appreciate the design of the restaurant that allows you to enjoy both hot pot and grilling at the same time. The table we sat at was meant for two people, and its layout keeps diners quite spaced apart. I think this is a great design for pandemic times and also helps prevent any accidental spills from the pot or grill. The food is excellent, too!
