My husband and I recently found Bail Box this summer, and we've had two delightful dinners there. We really appreciate the restaurant's location along the beautiful Cohansey River, and the atmosphere is laid-back and perfect for summer. It's always a pleasure to escape to a waterfront setting. The menu offers a great selection, and their fish dishes feature generous portions of fish. For instance, their crab cake is predominantly made of crab rather than filler. We're looking forward to returning in September. The service is always quick and friendly. I highly recommend trying the shrimp cocktail!
That experience was disappointing. The $28 special included only 2 shrimp, 2 clams, 2 mussels, and pasta, and it was supposed to have crab, but it didn’t. The service was ridiculously slow! The server had only 2 tables, yet I waited over 20 minutes after she dropped off the check before I finally decided to take it to the hostess to pay. It’s unfortunate because the food is actually delicious.
