Handels Homemade Ice Cream

First ice cream shop visited in this beautiful state of Oregon and in the wonderful town of Sherwood. Found this place while browsing around the area using google maps. Little did I know this place existed and I must have drive by here 50 times. Could be because it's tucked away in the corner where the back wall of Target ends. Nonetheless in spite of low 40 deg weather, I convinced my daughters and I to drop by check it out and I'm glad we did for a post dinner desert. When you walk in, you'll find a large chalkboard menu to your right with size selections you can choose from (cup, cone, by the pint) while the tv screens above have the ice cream flavors. I come here often because I like the ice cream but the last 2 experiences have not been great. The 2nd to last time I came here they couldn’t figure out how much change to give me and had to get 2 different people and the last person could barely even figure it out… then this time I asked for the same thing I ALWAYS get and this time it was a problem. They told me “well there is no way you have ever gotten that here because everyone would lose their job because we would be stealing.” (In a very mean tone … I am sorry… how is asking for a pint of ice cream half one flavor and half another flavor stealing??? And why is it an issue now when I have gotten this so many times before and it hasn’t...

Visited for the first time and it was delicious, so many flavors to choose from, they all sounded good! I had the strawberry sorbet, one of the 2 vegan options available and it hit the spot. We sat outside on their blue bench and had a great time nomming on ice cream. My lady had the double dark chocolate and loved it. Will definitely be back.

I’ve finally found banana cream pie in ice cream form. My only problem is that they no longer sell the quart size online or for delivery : I’m not sure why, they used to. But the ice cream is top tier! Also never had a bad experience in the store with their employees.

Nothing short of a great ice cream spot. Every flavor never disappoints! price: great bang for your buck, the amount of ice cream you get for the price is chef's kiss. Some locations will allow two flavors for a single scoop, unfortunately this location doesn't.

They have a wide variety of flavors. My favorite is Red Sky at Night and for the holidays Peppermint Bark!!

The best. I wish they had lemon bar year round. 91 degrees today and they don't have it yet.
