Hara Sushi - Tisch resevieren

We ordered take-away sushi from Hara Sushi. We didn't order anything unusual - everything on our list was something we had ordered elsewhere. We didn't do that intentionally, but it did allow us to compare experiences. Overall, Hara Sushi is very good. Some people complain about the size of the portions, but this might be due to unrealistic expectations based on Vancouver sushi, which in my experience tends towards the massive. Hara Sushi portions are, in my view, pretty standard. The menu could be better because it doesn't specify how many pieces come with each "hand roll" - you have to ask - but in general you can assume eight normal-sized pieces per roll. We were staying in Victoria and had driven out to Sooke. We were looking for something to eat and saw the supermarket. We parked then befire going in to buy something for lunch we noticed the sushi place nearly next door so looked at the menu there first. So glad we did. I had tuna that was so tasty. The service was really quick (maybe because there was only one other couple in there.) Price really reasonable. Definitely recommend eating here if in Sooke, or even if somewhere nearby - worth the detour.We noticed They did a takeaway service too.

We went to Hara Sushi while staying in the Sooke area, since it was close, and we love sushi. The restaurant is small and cozy, and the service was very good...although we were the only customers, since it was close to closing time. We shared tuna nigiri, a vegetable roll, tuna/avocado roll, and a special Italian (tuna, etc.) roll. While all the items were good, they didn't seem at all outstanding, so an average rating seems appropriate. The prices were relatively low, however, for the area.

Our first visit was a lovely treat. The hot tea was served in perfect blue and white glasses and everything onwards was lovely. Choose from 3 types of sunomuno salad. I had shrimp. It arrives with a prawn swimming in its pool. Very clever and delicious. Choose a Unique roll from several recommended by the Master. We had the yummy yam. Wonderfully light tempura yam was skillfully arranged on top the sushi. Crispy agadashi tofu was very pleasant. Treat yourself Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Stumbled on this place on the way from victoria to check out Sooke. Did not expect to find such a great tasting sushi place in such a small town. The flavors are there and rice cooked to perfection. Sooke is fortunate to have this gem. Yum, enough said.

we ate here - or tried to, food was disappointing, but still expensive. you could see right into the kitchen and we saw the cook lick food off his fingers and then handle more that was to be served.- yuck

In a busy restaurant area this one suffers from competition but we were lucky to stumble on to it and loved all the dishes served...the udon noodles were delicious along with all the sushi we ate!

Extremely well prepared sushi and sashimi. Fresh and tasty. My wife and I really enjoyed our meal which was accompanied by excellent service. Highly recommended! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Probably better than most places in Vancouver. Make sure you try the home made kimchi! It's absolutely amazing. As are the Bento boxes.
