Ordered online on Monday evening, paid online and was given an order number and ETA for food. Waited until about 15 minutes after the ETA to call shop to check on way but just got answerphone so left a message. Had to order from elsewhere. Called shop following day to be told rudely by the owner that they aren't open on a Monday and that's why order was cancelledbut order was only cancelled at lunchtime the following day. Owner also told us it says closed on a Monday but website shows as open and order was accepted. Understand that mistakes can be made but the owner was dismissive and rude. Second time they have messed up for us but first time owner was keen to rectify, shame it was such poo...
Right I use to go here with the old ownership but love the new owner true Brit in every way funny and extremely polite with good banter and I promise you the best chips in town I love my chips and this is the place there perfect every time with a good menu and fair prices , and I live in Southampton and sometimes I drive down just to go here.
Absolutely dreadful. We thought we'd try this, as our usual was closed for some reason. The fish and chips here were laden with grease. The mushy peas were inedible. Then fish wasn't cooker properly. So much so my fiancé refused to eat any of it. If it wasn't for the fact we bought it as a takeaway, we would be requesting a refund.
Following reviews on Find Me Gluten Free and being local, decided to try Ferndown Fish Chips as not had been to a chippy since being diagnosed coeliac 4 months ago. Cant phone through, meant to put you through to restaurant but doesn't.? Website hardly any choices on fish. Also when putting in postcode for delivery is doesn't show the number where I live. So cant order a thing. So off to another who you can phone directly. Things have got better and now can phone directly.
This tiny shop produces some fantastic take away food. The fish is superb and the service friendly. In my opinion these are the best chips in ferndown.
Absolutely delicious meal! Fantastic cod! Lovely chips finished off with curry sauce and mushy peas! Would highly recommend!

£12.10 for haddock and chips the fish was inedible £9 wasted the chips were ok wouldn't recommend.
