After abandoning breakfast as another location, we defaulted to our hotel's buffet restaurant...hang it, we were hungry and upset and figured we'd probaby end up spending at least the same amount anywhere else as for the full buffet...so in we go. Busy, lots of young families, homely. Unfortunately that's about it. Cold plates, cold scrambled eggs, cold (and barely cooked) bacon, cold mushrooms, cold hash browns. Coffee (machine) was very strong and quite good. Usual juices but loads of condiments (seeds, nuts, salads, yoghurts, cereals, etc). Problem was with the kids using the place as a playground and slack a@#e parents no looking after them. We caught on kid eat cream off the serving spo...
I went to this restaurant for a group lunch with coworkers. Even though we had made a reservation, our table was not ready when we arrived. It took almost 40 minutes to receive menus and place our orders, which was not ideal for a one-hour lunch break. Despite specifying my dietary requirements twice, my vegan burger came out with a white sauce that was not listed on the menu. It took three attempts for the kitchen to confirm that the sauce contained eggs and dairy. It was very disappointing to see a large hotel mislabel an item as vegan when they clearly did not understand what vegan means. This level of carelessness may be expected at a rural cafe, but it was unacceptable at a city hotel.
I had two meals at this restaurant during a recent stay at the hotel. Both meals were light after a full day of touring. We had a selection of dishes including vegetable stir fry, hummus dip, and soup, all of which were delicious. The pea soup was particularly good. The service was quick and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I recommend going between 5 and 7 PM to take advantage of happy hour drink specials. My only suggestion would be for the menu to offer more simple meal options such as club sandwiches, burgers, and pasta dishes instead of heavily Asian-influenced dishes. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.
For an International hotel eatery this was really poor. We should have realised this when we noticed we were the only ones dining A steak ordered medium had to be sent back as it was absolutely raw in the middle. It was returned to the...table in exactly the same state. Presentation and overall quality was severely lacking and offered nothing more than you would get in a suburban cafe. Bland vegetables with heat and eat bread rolls. Very ordinary and unimaginative. Wouldn’t go there again.

Ever since we found Harry's Bar while staying at the Stamford a few years ago, we have to go in at least once for a relaxing drink during our stay no matter which hotel we are staying in. It is a place that opens...all day so it is pleasant to go in after lunch and before dinner and enjoy a quiet drink without a lot of noise. It has a nice wine list and does serve snacks and meals too. We find ourselves sitting there and watching the world go by one of our favourites.
We decided to dine here because we were hungry and found the room service prices to be too expensive. My daughter enjoyed her burger, but the buffalo chicken with blue cheese was actually fried chicken with mayo - a bit disappointing. The prices, however, were reasonable.
asked beer to be flat 3 times because of beer. ingredients for some cocktails not available. asked for another cocktail and it was served without the advertised garnishes and was $20 for a standard gin and tonic that a...cocktail
Service was friendly and efficient and the waiter bar person recommended excellent wines, a Shiraz and a Pinot Noir. Service was quick and friendly. Good for a quiet business meeting as well.

eating was ok with better options in the environment. when I first went, the staff was too busy to sit, although there were very few customers. both the main course and the cocktail were ok.
