I usually don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience at this exceptional place. I recently stayed in Apartment 1, and it was truly amazing, with all the comforts you could ask for, both inside and outside the house. The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk to the beach and a 40-minute walk to a stunning waterfall. The property was welcoming, clean, and teeming with beautiful wildlife, like birds and geckos. It was a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The owner, Dean, was courteous and generous, making it a pleasure to interact with him. I can’t recommend Hartleys Creek Retreat highly enough, and I look forward to revisiting in the near futur...
The house was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with essentials like milk, bread, butter, coffee, towels, and outlet converters. There were two showers, including one conveniently located right outside the kitchen, accessible from the beautiful wrap-around patio, allowing us to rinse off after a day at the beach without tracking sand inside. We arrived at the property around 7:30 PM, and Dean's mother greeted us and provided a thorough tour. The entire property is gorgeous and impeccably maintained. We can't praise it enough—it was simply perfect!
We enjoyed a two-night stay in November at this stunning property. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. Just a few minutes from the property, there’s a beautiful, unspoiled beach. Additionally, the property features several lovely outdoor areas. We rented a car, which made it easy to access both Port Douglas and Cairns. I highly recommend this place!
Dean and his mother Marie were incredible hosts. This location is a very short walk from one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches I have ever seen.
