Using a ticket system for bakery items does not work. Instead of just grabbing baked goods as orders come, as every other coffee shop/cafe does, they were making tickets for every order and waiting to fill them. This resulted in a group of confused customers watching as the scones they saw when they ordered disappeared from the trays and they were forced to choose a different flavor or go home without. We received no warning that this might happen when we did order, and when our ticket finally did come up we felt dismissed instead of assured that management would address the problem. I used to love this place but lately they are always out of everything. If it's so consistently out take it off the menu. I work in western springs so this is convenient for lunch but every time I call they are always out of what I want for months now. I get Covid made it hard to get ingredients but me coming 2-3 times a week for months now and not able to get whats on the menu is a little annoying. Not to mention I never got a response about poisoning my mother with Texas toast when she is gluten-free and actually has celiac's and she was sick for almost a whole week after you guys promised that you gave her gluten-free bread. The kids didn't receive their drinks, and I had to keep asking for my glass of water. When the food finally arrived, my pancakes were cold and dry, and my eggs were also very cold, as if they had been sitting on a cold plate for 15 minutes. We ordered toast but weren't offered any butter or jelly. The number of times we had to flag down the staff was ridiculous.
As someone who works as a server at another breakfast place, I found this experience to be quite disappointing. Overall, it felt like a waste of $73 for two adults and two children. I definitely won't be returning.
Excellent, unique coffee (macadamia nut milk neat! paired with both breakfast and lunch options that are all pleasing to the palette. I prefer the food at this little order at the counter gem over the fanciest sit down places in LaGrange and they have some good restaurants. We will definitely return.

Why bother with a husband when you can enjoy the corned beef hash or the veggie omelet with gluten-free pancakes from this restaurant? Absolutely delicious! I didn’t manage to take any photos because I devoured it as quickly as I picked it up! Haha!
Boys and I headed out of the crowded downtown Chicago and found this gem. People were great, food was delicious, and the boys were full and happy. One of the best omelettes on record and I have had my share Great place to eat with the kids
From drinks to food everything was delicious. The service was quick and friendly and the decor just as welcoming. Love that they are following the vaccine mandate and checking for proof as well as encouraging social distancing and masks.
Clean place. You pay up front. Food comes later. To me food tasted okay. It didn't taste like super amazing or homemade or something unique just typical fare, but for a quick stop you can get lunch or breakfast options.

Great food and amazing hashbrowns! Decor is nothing fancy but food was great and came to our table pipping hot.
The restaurant has a small brewery on-site, and I can't recommend the Pilsner and Oktoberfest highly enough!
