This is a classic Greek owned diner, meaning great food and friendly efficient staff. The menu for breakfast was extensive with all the favorites on offer. The owner walks the floor keeping a watchful eye on how things are going. He's quick with a smile and is fun to engage with. My wife ordered a swiss and mushroom omelette, while I opted for hash and eggs. Both arrived quickly, piping hot and delicious. I have neither a complaint or even suggested improvement for the Hauppauge Palace Diner a rare and sought after experience. If you're a fan of northeast diners, you will LOVE this one!
The restaurant has a retro chrome exterior adorned with neon signs, exuding classic charm. Inside, there is a gumball machine in the vestibule for all diners to enjoy. The restaurant offers many booths and a private enclosed room. The bathrooms are separated by gender. The American-style food is delicious, especially the messy varieties. There is ample parking space available and free, speedy Wi-Fi access. On June 23, 2021, the Suffolk County Libertarian Party held a joint meeting here with the Nassau District Libertarian Party.
Went there earlier in the month as I was attending a wedding in Long Island and the diner was close to the hotel. Really enjoyed the food and it made me realize how much I miss diners! (We have them here in Maine, but there's nothing like a Long Island diner The cheese blintzes were great and the corned beef hash is amazing! My partner got eggs, toast, and bacon which he enjoyed. Service was fast and friendly. Overall, we would be happy to return if we're ever in the area again.
Very disappointed in the food we ordered. We ordered a chicken ceasar wrap, a grilled cheese with bacon, and an iced coffee. The iced coffee was insanely watery and not appetizing. The ceasar wrap wasn't tightly wrapped at all so it was difficult to eat. The container that held the fries for the grilled cheese had some sort of mold or dust on it. I came in for breakfast on a Saturday morning and ordered Eggs Benedict with avocado and had the the hash browns instead of home fries. The dish was very good. The Benedict sauce was very tasty. Next time, however, I'll order the home fries. The hash browns were of the rectangular formed variety that you can find in the frozen section of a grocery store.

the best of this diner, as most, is that they are late open, a woman variety of foods, and it is quite good in the regular. this place is not an exception. had a burger and pommes that met the place!
