Decided to take a drive on a Public Holiday, and four of us finished up at North Haven around lunch time. We had packed a Thermos and the readies for a cup of tea or coffee and wanted a simple lunch, intending to sit in our car and watch the yachts and ships, surfers and some shivering swimmers. We entered this take-away shop, situated on Alexa Road, with the front facing out over the marina. My choice was 'butterfish' the neighbours wanted Hake. Man at the counter told us that the butterfish was the best buy, very large fillets and cheaper than the Hake. So we ordered four butterfish and a good serve of chips. Took one hour for the food to come out. Large pizza for 2 unless you have NO appetite and you 're an almond mum don 't order that. It 's thinner and has less toppings than Domino 's. It was tiny. Smaller than a small pizza. Actually pathetic. The garlic bread tasted good. Milkshake was okay, expensive for a small glass. THE PIZZA WAS SO EXPENSIVE TOO. The Squid was 4 squid rings on chips with salad. Was a share dish but more accurately just a single meal. Not filling at all. Tasted good though. The view was okay. Service is... meh at best. I moved to North Haven about 8 months ago and this was the very first place we went to for take away. From memory this place was under new management, so we thought we'd give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the staff are always friendly. The chips are done really well and the seafood used tastes fresh and not so heavily battered or oily. Personally I think this is the best Chicken and Seafood shop in our area and I'm so happy it's just around the corner from where I live.Keep up the great work guys :-)
Over looking North Haven Marina.One of the best fish / chicken shops I have ever been to.Clean and friendly staff.The batter on the fish is perfect.The chips are cooked to perfection The charcoal chicken is fantastic The home made salads are fresh and good.Highly recommended

We came for a drive to see the navy warship, felt hungry & came across this little gem. Hamburger with the lot $8.50, very filling. Schnitzel burger $6.50, very filling. We had a dog with us & ate outside,service is very friendly & quick.
A great little take away that offers good food at a great price. Chips were lovely when we had them and we found the variety excellent for the large group we had at out house.
Fantastic takeaway shop. Range of salads is nice and the staff are very friendly. I like that I can order and pay online with eat now app and just pop in to pick it up.
Haven Charcoal Chicken & Seafood is now under new management and they dont disappoint
