Monday evening dinner while attending major trade show in Düsseldorf but staying in Monchengladbach. Saw the write up on trip advisor and as my colleagues is a vegetarian and I am definitely not, thought this would be good menu. The restaurant is not in the heart of the town and has a small frontage on a not particularly attractive street, could be off putting to visitors but don 't be, go in and enjoy the best hospitality and great food. My German is regrettably poor and the staff 's English is not much better, menus all in German no reason not to be). I have walked pas his place hundreds of times during the day it is very local to me and never really considered eating there it looks small and unimposing from the ouside. Afer reading the Tripadvisor reviews..... .A quick message sent to them on Facebook was promptly answered: they suggested we call in. We arrived around 8.30 Saturday night with no booking the place was full (around 60 covers inside but a 'no show ' meant the had a table for 2. The clientel was a 50/50 split of Germans and Middle Eastern customers another good sign. The staff at Hyatt are exquisitely polite and attentive. This level of service is unique in a restaurant of this ctegory. They even went so far as to suggest extra time between dishes so we remained comfortable after the generous portions. The food was sublime: delicately spiced dishes with a syrian accent and inspiration. I can only higly recommend this restaurant. And what a relief to have vegetables, something most German restaurants seem to take pains to avoid.

The city has many Turkish style restaurants, all offering similar dishes and dining experiences. This is one of the better ones, in that the grilled meats are of slightly higher quality than elsewhere. Service however isn't great and the menu lacks something truly unique to make the place stand out. All in all though, worth a visit when in the mood for this type of cuisine.

Just perfect food, nice people, good prices, good advices. If you look for a good restaurant, don't hesitate to go there.
