My Heidelburger had toasted rye bread that was hard, the burger itself was overdone and nearly cold even though I had ordered it slightly pink. The onions and blue cheese were warm and scarce. The coleslaw seemed to be store-bought and had too much mayonnaise. The house wine was okay, but the portion was less than 4 ounces for $10. One of my guests had a hot turkey sandwich that was completely flavorless and lukewarm. It was barely edible. I was very disappointed by the quality of the food this time. I shared my concerns with our waitress, who was very attentive and promised to pass on our feedback to the management. I hope that the restaurant can address these issues and improve the qual...
The food and service was excellent. Everything we had tonight was delicious. I had the German Tour and really enjoyed the sauerbraten! I would easily order it again. The beef au jus with the horseradish sauce is a must have. We also orded the special which was a pork schnitzel with ham, cheese and a bacon sauce on top of it. My recommendation would be get more German beers on tap. Other than that, everything was great. Will be coming back.
The waitstaff was efficient. The food was lousy. Imagine liking a Reuben sandwich from Arby's better than a German restaurant. The entire sandwich at it's thickest part was about a half inch at best. And a tiny bowl of German potato salad which was sliced potato in vinegar.....$15 for a $7.50 sized meal. My friend had fish.....again tiny and overcooked. Definitely not the same as it was years ago.
We finally got to try Heidelberg and it did not disappoint. We devoured every bite of the German mac and cheese with spatzle, loaded German fries, Bavarian pork schnitzel, and Bavarian chicken schnitzel. W O W. I’ve only been here two times and the food both times have been outstanding! The authenticity of the building is just so nice and it feels like your in a real German Tavern. The potato pancakes and the Schnitzel were absolutely amazing. Hope to be coming here a lot more!
My girlfriend and I came to the Heidelberg for our anniversary and we both loved it. Despite being packed the waitress made sure to ask if we needed anything a few times. We were also seated fairly quickly and the food was amazing. We will definitely be coming back for more.
The dining experience was amazing and Heather was a fantastic waitress. The authentic German cuisine was expertly prepared. The large beers served in steins were a nice touch. If you enjoy German food, you can't go wrong with this restaurant.

We had a fantastic meal with excellent service. We will definitely be back and will be bringing our friends along next time. Update: Two days later, our daughter Ava also loved the food at this restaurant.
