Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The lamb was tough, and the cauliflower was overly spicy. The $18 bao buns contained just one piece of tough meat, with no sauce and no salad, so we didn't end up eating the meal. On a positive note, the venue and entertainment were fantastic, and the staff were great. However, we felt embarrassed having to wait over an hour for our food, and the wine wasn't from McLaren Vale. This venue really needs to reconsider its food offerings, as we won't be returning.
Heidrun is a charming and picturesque location with a wonderful view of the vineyards, but I found the food to be underwhelming. It looked appealing but lacked in flavor; while nothing was particularly bad, I wouldn't come back just for the food. However, the wine tasting experience and the wines themselves were delightful, so I would definitely return for that.

Beautiful venue and the lady serving us was lovely however we left soon after arriving as the entertainment was not appropriate for the setting. For context, baby shark on repeat doesn’t exactly scream ‘beautiful wine experience with the girls’.

We tasted four fantastic Rohan Family wines, then stayed for a delicious lunch and had a quick stroll around the beautiful garden. Views are stunning. The driveway is a bit tricky if you happen to be in a motorhome.
We ordered the platter and it was outstanding, so much food we couldn’t eat it all! The wine was lovely too and great value for money. We had such a lovely lunch at Heidrun, I would highly recommend it
