I LOVE this place and I go there for years now! The bar on the ground floor is very relaxed, though I would prefer it being a bit brighter, but that's ok. The staff is super friendly, well trained and always at their best. You cans spend summer evenings on the terrace (over the river or on top of Zurich on the roof) and in winter stay inside for a nice cosmopolitan, gin tonic (whatever gin, tonic and fruit or vegetable you want to combine) or ginger heart.The restaurant on the first floor is always a pleasure. Staff is excellent, the wine card is always interesting and you will find something that suits your taste (and your budget). The food is delicious! Classic dishes really well prepared...
Helvetia Restaurant is a free standing corner building over-looking the Sihl is part hotel, restaurant and bar. There is a rooftop deck, a terrace over the Sihl, while the inside has lots of wood furniture, with a variety of padded seating and bar stools. There is also a wooden staircase that goes to the upper level dining room and restrooms that were spotless.The young lady that assisted me was very friendly as I ordered my morning soy milk hot chocolate (packaged chocolate, 5CHF). They serve a choice of soy or nut milk.A very nice visit, I would certainly visit again and recommend.
We stayed for 1 night in a large family room with a baby cot for our little daughter. Nicely decorated, truly a boutique hotel. It's only that the tram passes by under your window so there is some noise (not too much for us though). The old town is at 10 min. walking and parking is nearby in a public garage for 30CHF per day (hotel places are reserved for you). The price is considerable since parking and breakfast is not included. However the location is very nice and there are sufficient locations to have a meal in the neighbourhood.

Wunderschöne Zimmer und die gemütlichsten Betten, in denen ich jemals geschlafen habe! Es war so sauber und die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen! Einfach der Wahnsinn, mit super freundlichem Personal!
Gestern, am Sonntag, gab es hervorragendes Zürcher Geschnetzeltes mit knusprigen Rösti und sehr aufmerksamer Bedienung.
Es war so lecker. Das Beste war der Service, sie waren super schnell und freundlich. Kung-Fu-Mädchen ist großartig
