Heo Tea, what's going on? If only you were consistent! The last time I went, Heo Tea was a newer addition to the Centreville Crest Shopping Center. The menu offered both cold and hot milk tea, cold and hot tea, smoothies, refresher drinks, yogurt based drinks, and, even food/snacks (such as banh mi, rice cakes, and honey glazed chicken wings). I have tried the following: +Crispy Pork Belly banh mi +Grilled Pork banh mi +Popcorn milk tea (one of the specials that they had at the time) The banh mi both had an off putting odor to them, and the request of having no cilantro was not adhered to; the management was super nice about it, and stated that they would replace it with either another banh...
I went out to dinner with friends in Centreville, and we decided to grab some boba before our meal. From the outside, the place looks small, but there's actually a decent amount of space inside. The layout is pretty straightforward, and I really appreciated the many booths available for seating. Wanting to try something new, I took my friend's recommendation and ordered the taro flavor. I really enjoyed it! I chose extra sweet, and it was just the right level of sweetness for me, which was a pleasant surprise. June 2022 COVID Review: I love that their menu has a lot of drink and food options. Especially some Vietnamese favorites. I haven't tried their food yet but their drinks are pretty good depending on what you get. I actually like my boba drinks with a hint of saltiness to balance out the sweetness (despite getting less sugar levels too). So I like the cream cheese and sea salt toppings to add to my fruit teas! Drinks are usually made pretty quickly as well. On a few occasions that I've been here on a Friday or Saturday night, I see people playing from the board games that they have and there's people singing karaoke. It's a fun post dinner spot!
We saw the reviews and decided to stop in while traveling through Centreville. I don’t understand the good reviews. We tried a sea salt coffee bubble and another mixed coffee drink. They are by far the worst coffee drinks we have ever tasted. It is just sugar in a cup. The people are nice but just absolutely disgusting drinks. They aren’t cheap either but we had to just throw the drinks out. Please do yourself a favor and take a drive a bit further to Eden Center and try real drinks there.

I've been here a few times for the drinks. They are OK; nothing too memorable. Heo Tea is not my preferred place to get boba in NOVA. I enjoy more of their Viet coffee drinks, but I dislike the crazy amount of ice that's put in them- I feel like I'm getting less drink. Note that they no longer sell banh mi (which seemed quite overpriced compared to what you can get at more popular places like Banh Mi DC or Eden Center.
Coming from the Bay Area, California, this place has pretty average boba. They had cool flavors like mangonada, but the tea flavor didn't really come through and I tasted a lot of artificial flavoring. The inside was also decorated in a really mismatched way. If you're visiting the area though, it'll still satisfy your craving!
I tried the brown sugar milk tea with cream cheese and boba! I couldn't taste the cream cheese very well, but it was still a great milk tea. I would definitely go back in the future. They have a wide variety of tea and topping options to explore! They also serve food, but we didn't try any today.
My girlfriend’s favorite boba place. and she’s a certified ABG so she knows her boba. our favs are the durian sugar cane tea, mangonada, and all flavors of lychee. pretty good stuff. never had the food though, but eh boba is great

The staff was friendly, and the tea drinks were great alongside the delicious snacks. The establishment was very clean and had a welcoming atmosphere.
I love the fun decor and ambiance. Bobas are good and so are the wings. Been here several times and I have not yet been disappointed.
