We arrived in the fog and rain to Herring Cove Restaurant. It was a welcomed sight after traveling for 12 hours. Foggy, damp and dreary outside, it was warm and inviting inside. There were more tables than I expected at this golf course eatery. We obviously chose to eat inside but you can eat outside. On a beautiful day, you can see the beautiful Herring Cove Beach. Food choices were typical for a golf course eatery but they were well prepared. Homemade pies made for a nice ending to the meal. The following morning we returned for a full breakfast. Both meals were staffed by friendly waitresses and good cooks. No complaints.
On second trip to herring cove for siteseeing stopped by for lunch. On golf course grounds with inside and deck seating. Clean and comfortable. One waitress who was attentive and friendly. Shared a lunch entree, scallop roll with fries. Excellent scallops. Breading very light and not greasy. Fries not greasy at all. Food prepared to order but worth wait. We ate inside but view from deck is lovely. If paying in US currency exchange factored to total bill due.
First time over to Campobello Island, came here for lunch with my wife and a friend who is a local. Between the three orders, lobster roll, chicken wrap, and fish bits, I don't think the wait for for food was more than 15 minutes! The food was excellent, one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had in fact. Our waitress Kacie was great, very prompt. There's a nice view of the beach from the patio, if there's no fog, but it does put you in the sun.
Ate here on a sunny afternoon, and surprisingly the place was basically empty. Could be because we were late by Atlantic time standards, but as the grill for a golf course, I just expected more people to be there. Full bar, and decent food. Nothing special. It is kind of tucked away, but I'd say if it is your only option, it's not bad. I think there are better places. Nice staff, friendly. Accepts credit cards, US currency. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We were hoping for a nice lunch here, but after walking in and seating ourselves without even a "Hello" from anyone, we waited over 5 minutes in the hot inside dining area without any staff greeting us or coming over to us, we decided it was not the place to eat.
This was the one place that was open our first night on Campobello and we were pleasantly surprised at how GOOD the food was. It was a little chaotic (lack of serving staff) and the TV has the Golf channel on the whole time, but the food really was quite good.
After hiking around Campobello, went to lunch here. Pretty typical golf course food. The potions was not typical and should be skipped. The fish sandwich appeared to be frozen fish. The burgers and soup were good. Prices were reasonable. Staff was pleasant.
This restaurant has been around for a long time. They know what they're doing. Campobello Island is an AMAZING destination for outdoors people. Take a good camera since this is where the best postcard images come from. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Huge scallops! Not cooked. Had to send them back twice. The staff was friendly enough but was slow and seemed put out when we sent them back a second time. I would give them a second chance if we go back again.
