Had myself the Bavarian cream King cake. That cake is DELICIOUS. It was my first time going as I was searching for best king cakes around town. Super happy I decided here. I went around 12:30ish. I say go in the morning as they were running out of other stuff like ham&cheeese croissants and chocolate flavored. I read other reviews saying this is a hidden gem. Its not so on the down low anymore, there was quite a line starting to form when I went. I waited a little bit bit there was even a longer line after me. Oh and they only take cash. Good little place to support the locals.
Okay, we spent $45 on a round trip. uber from our hotel in the French quarter to secure a king cake from this great place. Yes, they are good, and yes, the others will change their lives! we went to our best places before we came back to the hotel. be ready for cash or local checks only...in the inner. great prices. needs HI-Do every visit in no!
the croissants (bavarian cream and strawberry) I ordered almost empty on the inside, but the blueberry cream cheese king cake I also ordered made for them. I'd say the king's cake is about 1/3 filled. a good balance from cream to teig. the business is only with a money?

My favorite bakery ever! I love her cream cheese kingcake. It's amazing. The cream cheese filling is different. Their breads and other baked goods are also amazing. The 20-minute drive from Metairie.
Hands down, the best king cake in town is from Hi Do Bakery ...but the king cake is NOT the best thing they make. That honor falls to their almond croissant, which can be had year-round.
Hi I was only in town for a couple and really needed a King Cake made. They had it ready the next day for me. I greatly appreciate it and not to mention it's deliciously good!!!
