We stopped in High Mountain for some late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We timed it just right to beat the long line that soon formed. That’s usually a good sign. We ordered some crispy calamari and some fish chips. The crispy calamari wasn’t really. It was good, don’t get me wrong, but it was cut maybe a little took thick to be crispy. The batter dredge had some crisp to it but once you bite into it, the calamari was tender but had a little chew. It’s was good, just not the crisp calamari you might have expected. The fish and chips were good nice flaky cod and a crisp batter. You als]ways wonder about restaurants in resorts. Are they just there to churn out food or are they actually good....
My hubby n I were there last night n the experience was the worst that I ever hadWe ordered a beer with Cesar salad and chicken wingsWhen the waitress sent the food to us there was no utensils and she didn’t bother to bring us any ??? Does she expect us to eat the salad with our hands ? The food was absolutely horrible especially the salad ! It is just like any randomly chopped lettuce filled with lots of croutons n store bought dressingPlus the powder form of cheese! With this high prices this is ridiculously garbage being servedThe wings also tasted horrible with $21 just seven tiny pieces being served ! It should be rated no star but I do not have a choice so reluctantly given one star!!!...
Visited High Mountain Brewing with a group and had mixed feelings about our experience. First off, despite having a reservation, they couldn't seat us all together, which was a bummer. The atmosphere of the place is quite nice, and it's got a good vibe to it. As for the food, it was good – satisfying and tasty, but not something that would make me run back for seconds.The main area where the place could use a boost is the service. We felt a bit overlooked at times. The pizza is good, the beer as well, but the customer service is totally poor!We were in 4 adults and 2 kids, whose didn’t ordered anything, and the waiter asked us to pay the 18 tips fee for the rule of 6 people at the table, even we were 4 consuming.When we disagree in pay the whole , the manager was called and put the tips off, but once we left, he got us in the street to discuss about it, completely disrespectful and invasive, we will never go back! Have given 4 stars as the food was good especially the beef ribs. Service wasn't though. We seemed to just get forgotten about had to try get a servers attention which was difficult as they all seemed to have left the restaurant area. It was to the point we were going to have to get up to find someone. Then you get the normal prompt on paying to add your service charge !
We dined there on Sunday and despite a few groups ahead of us, we were seated quickly. The food was fantastic, and our server was both friendly and attentive, checking in with us frequently to ensure everything was alright. We chose an outdoor table, but there are indoor seating options available as well. We would definitely love to return when we're in Whistler.
Absolutely amazing food. Gentleman serving the patio with longer hair Thursday night was probably the best server I had in all my time coming up to Whistler. He was so quick, kind, and considerate. Super attentive to his guests. Food was wayyyy better than I thought it was. Came back the next day for more and equally amazing. Thanks for a great experience!
This is a fantastic place for a pub-style meal and a good beer. The fish and chips were excellent, and the salmon chowder was delicious as well.
