I've recently begun teaching myself how to play golf. Started going to the Hillcrest Country Club to use thier driving range. Started taking friends and family. Eventually graduated to playing 9 holes. I haven't been to may golf courses but I have compared several local courses, and I can definitely say that the HCC has the BEST course prices to play. And the staff at the pro shop are super friendly and helpful. I also recently tried the HCC restaurant and was blown away! I was surprised how simple but nice it was inside and how nice the staff were. Definitely sit at Tia's tables, she was super fun and nice and felt more like a friend than a waitress. All around a great place and I'm certain...
After moving a relative into a local retirement home, 7 of us went to HCC for the Thurs All you can eat catfish. Entering the DR, we found two couples and a BD party of 11. Our waitress took our drinks orders, 5 fish 2 chicken frys. THEN, WE WAITED. Fifty-five minutes later, our orders were delivered! French fries w/ fish were luckwarm to cold, mashed potatoes w/ chicken were cold except for TOPS covered w/ good white gravy. Chicken fry steaks were delicious as well as catfish. But, NO additional fish were offered. Will not return with in Vernon visiting relatives.
I come up to Vernon for business almost weekly and started getting tired of fried fast food. I had a local realtor Recommended the Hillcrest Country Club for dinner. I took a party of four for dinner expecting country club snootiness and prices. Boy was I wrong.... they have a special every night from Ribeye, to catfish. The staff was so nice, the food was fresh and price was incredibly inexpensive. Quite an oasis here in Vernon.
Wonderful experience! The staff were so accommodating to our last minute request for outside seating on a Holiday and the food was amazing!
