Surprisingly great Himalayan food in Montrose, Colorado. Visited the restaurant with a large group based on their great online reviews. We were not disappointed. No one had any complaints about the diverse menu. The chicken Annapurna was exceptional as was the chicken and pork dumpling appetizer (Mo-Mo) and garlic naan.
Cozy place! But I will say Himalayan food is blander than Indian food. The food is very good and fresh but it did not have much flavor for me, I drove from grand junction and I don’t I would again However, the Naan was delicious and service was great ! Place is cozy and comfortable
This place looks like a sketchy hole-in-the-wall place but the food was AMAZING. Nothing was spicy so if that's a concern for you, don't worry. They said they can make it spicy but that's not my taste. If you're on the fence, go in anyway! Seriously yummy!
FYI the masala dishes are not orange and tomato-y like American style tikka masala dishes. Their Masala dishes are yellow green, and to me tasted a bit bland. I think if you want an American style tikka masala, order makhani. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Update 6-28-24 Still Excellent food, subpar service, a little more attentiveness and friendliness would go a long way, maybe just the culture but a simple fix. We'll still come back regardless, the food is too good!
We ordered: Veg: Samosa, Veg momos, Veg chow chow Non-veg: Chicken momos. I recommend trying their veg chow chow and chicken momos; they’re delicious! The samosa and veg momos were okay.
We were not that hungry when we came in for lunch. Got the Saag lamb, naan and Sha phing noodles and they were super fresh and delicious!!! We cleaned the plate!
My wife and I love this restaurant. They have excellent service and great tasting authentic food. We make sure we visit Pun Hill every time we come to Montrose. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Good food, good price. Big portions. Would definitely eat there again! In an unassuming little building. I am sure that’s how they keep their prices low.
